Aidan Shortall
Business & Artist Management / Lead Booking Agent
Up Close and Personal Promotions has been in existence since 2005 under my stewardship.
I have been a self employed Entrepreneur from the age of 22 & I have always had a passion for the Arts in particular original Irish Music. Having studied a degree in Event Management.
During this period of time I have successfully managed a variety of acts on 100s of International Music Festivals, Tours and corporate events.
Thus gaining some valuable experience insight and knowledge into the Music World therefore been able to anticipate our clients wants and needs.
I currently handle management duties for Joshua Burnside.
Vanessa Shortall
Assistant Business Developer/Senior Administrator
Vanessa provides administration and project support for our team.
She has vast experience in administration, Business Development, PA, and project support roles. With an extensive background in the Customer Service industry, she possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills which are necessary for the day to day operations of Up Close & Personal Promotions.
She is an avid Charity Volunteer and works to enhance projects for those less fortunate in third world countries. She uses her professional experience to design and support publicity campaigns, media relations, and fundraising drives.
Francesca O’Connor
PR Agent / Label Manager
Francesca is a music manager from Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Originally training under the tutelage of renowned music industry pioneer Lyndon Stephens.
Formerly the label manager of Northern Ireland’s largest record label, Quiet Arch, Francesca managed several album campaigns including two NI Music Prize award-winning albums, EPHRATA by Joshua Burnside. She has helped develop artists internationally, booking slots at world renowned festivals, SXSW & Reeperbahn, and being the NI representative for AIM UK, she continues to pave the way for emerging artists in the ever changing music scene of Ireland.
Markus Stretz
Music Producer/Mixer, Artist Manager, & Social Media Marketing
Markus is a music producer and artist manager as well as a social media marketeer from Germany, based in London.
Originally a drummer since the age of 7 which later lead him to tour Germany in punk bands with bad songs and even worse stage presence, he soon found his passion for working on the other side of the glass while interning in Los Angeles.
Armed with a Business Administration BA and an Organisiational Analysis MSc, Markus possess a unique mixture of business/marketing education and music production training which allows him to work on the entire music production chain. He can furthermore advise on all things synch licensing and royalty collection as well as merch distribution and logistics.
